2. Salary of Office.

To take charge of an Observatory devoted chiefly to Meteorological Science and to tropical storms. Other duties include a weather prevision, especially with reference time service and absolute observations of the magnetic elements.

A knowledge of recent advances in dynamical meteorology and ability to work with astro- -nomical and magnetic instruments and the reduction of the observations.
